1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Fernbyte Studio ("we", "us", "our"), a mobile app studio based in Hong Kong, handles information in the following Android apps and on this website:

• Documents Reader & PDF Editor (office.free.pdf.documents.pdfreader.viewer.editor)
• PDF Viewer - All PDF Reader (office.free.pdf.documents.reader.pdfviewer.editor)
• GPS Photo Stamp Map Camera (gps.camera.photolocation.locationstamp.map)

2. Information we use

Your files. Documents, PDFs, photos and videos you open, create or edit are handled on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. The exceptions are features you choose to use that need an online service, described in section 3.

Information you provide

• In-app feedback and surveys: your message and selected options, stored in our cloud database with your app version, Android version, device model and language setting.
• Email: if you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.

Information collected automatically

• Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, approximate country or region, and app version.
• Identifiers: the device advertising identifier and app-instance identifiers.
• Usage data: features and screens used, session activity and in-app events.
• Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data.

Our apps do not request access to your contacts, SMS messages or call logs.

3. App-specific details

Documents Reader & PDF Editor

• File access: storage access, including "All files access" on supported Android versions, is used to find, open, edit and save documents on your device.
• Photos: used when you choose images, for example to convert them to PDF.
• Country detection: the app may contact an IP lookup service (ipinfo.io) to determine your country. Like any web request, this exposes your IP address to that service.
• Notifications and reminders: used for file reminders and app notifications.

PDF Viewer - All PDF Reader

• File access: storage access, including "All files access" on supported Android versions, is used to find, open, edit and save documents on your device.
• AI summary: if you use this feature, the text of the pages you select is sent to OpenRouter, which forwards it to a third-party AI model provider to generate the summary. Those providers may process it under their own terms, so please do not use this feature on documents containing sensitive information. Nothing is sent unless you use the feature.
• Photos: used when you choose images, for example to convert them to PDF.
• Notifications and reminders: used for file reminders and app notifications.

GPS Photo Stamp Map Camera

• Camera and microphone: used to take photos and record video. Audio is recorded only as part of a video.
• Location: precise or approximate location is used to stamp coordinates, address, map and weather onto your media. The app does not request background location permission.
• Location services: to show the address, map and weather, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (address lookup and map tiles) and Open-Meteo (weather). If you open a location in an external maps service, that service's own policy applies.
• Photos and videos: media access is used to save stamped media and import existing media. Location metadata in imported media is read to show where it was taken.

4. Device permissions

You can grant or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features stop working without them.

5. Service providers

We use third parties that process information as described above and under their own privacy policies. Not every provider is used in every app:

• Analytics and app infrastructure: analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, push messaging, app integrity checks and our cloud database.
• Advertising networks and mediation partners: our primary ad network and partners including AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Mintegral, Pangle and Unity Ads.
• Attribution: Adjust and AppsFlyer measure installs and campaigns.
• Payments: the app store's billing system.
• Feature services: the AI, IP lookup, map, address and weather services named in section 3.

You can email us for the current list of providers used by a specific app. We do not sell your personal information for money.

6. Advertising

Our free apps are supported by ads. Ad partners may use your advertising identifier and device information to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance. Where the law requires it, consent for personalized ads is requested in the app.

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or limit personalized ads, in your device's privacy or ads settings. Optional premium upgrades remove ads.

7. In-app purchases

Payments are processed by the app store. We do not receive your full payment card details, only the purchase information needed to unlock premium features.

8. This website

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and has no account or contact forms. Our hosting provider may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

9. Retention and security

We keep analytics and diagnostic data according to the retention settings of the relevant provider, and support messages for as long as needed to help you. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

10. Your choices and rights

• Revoke permissions and turn off notifications in your device settings.
• Reset your advertising identifier or limit personalized ads in your device settings.
• Uninstall an app to stop further collection by that app.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. Email us to make a request, and include the app name.

11. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here with a new effective date.
