These Terms of Service apply to the Android apps published by Fernbyte Studio, including Documents Reader & PDF Editor, PDF Viewer - All PDF Reader and GPS Photo Stamp Map Camera, and to this website (together, the "Services"). By downloading, installing or using the Services, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. License to use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our apps on devices you own or control. Your use is also subject to the terms of the app store you downloaded them from.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the apps, except where the law allows it;
- bypass ads, licensing checks or other technical protections;
- use the Services to break the law or violate the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- create, open or distribute unlawful, harmful or infringing content with the Services;
- falsify GPS, time or location stamps to deceive, defraud or mislead others;
- interfere with the Services or the networks used to provide them.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents, photos, videos and other files you use with our apps. You are responsible for having the right to use them and for keeping your own backups.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
- Some features, such as removing ads or premium tools, may be offered as one-time purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions through the app store.
- Payment is charged to your app store account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, as described in the app store.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your app store account. Uninstalling an app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds follow the refund policy of the app store, except where the law requires otherwise.
- A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Prices and features may change.
6. Advertising
The free versions of our apps show ads from third-party networks. We do not control or endorse the products and services advertised, and interacting with an ad is at your own discretion.
7. Third-party services
The Services rely on third parties such as app stores and map, address lookup, weather and AI providers. Their own terms and policies apply, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or practices.
8. AI features
AI summaries are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong, so check important information against the original document. Using an AI feature sends the text you select to third-party providers, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not use it for documents you are not allowed to share.
9. Location and stamped data
Coordinates, addresses, maps, weather and time stamps depend on device sensors, network conditions and third-party data, and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Do not rely on them as the only evidence for legal or safety-critical purposes, or for navigation.
10. Intellectual property
The Services, including their software, design, text, graphics and logos, belong to Fernbyte Studio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Apart from the license above, these terms give you no rights in them. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every file or device.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Fernbyte Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, files or profits, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the apps. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability, continue after termination.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here with a new effective date. If you keep using the Services after that, the updated terms apply.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
